STATE COLLEGE, PA. – Junior Chris Yeom (Flushing, N.Y.) is 4-under-par through two rounds at the 2018 Rutherford Intercollegiate and has the Seton Hall men's golf team in fifth place entering Sunday's final round.

Yeom continued his stellar junior year with two more sub-par rounds, giving him a team-best 12 for the year. He shot a pair of 2-under-par, 69, rounds and is currently in fourth place among 74 individual golfers with a 69-69-138. Yeom now has eight sub-par rounds in 13 total rounds this spring. He trails co-leaders, Oakland's Marc Norton and Penn State's Cole Miller, by three strokes with 18 holes remaining.

As a team, the Pirates fired a 4-over-par, 288, in round one, and shaved two strokes off in the afternoon, finishing with a 2-over-par, 286, in round two. For the tournament, The Hall is 6-over par with a 288-286-574, and trails the team leader, Penn State, by 18 strokes. Seton Hall's lone BIG EAST competition, Georgetown, is in ninth place, 20 strokes behind the Pirates.

Freshman Gregor Tait (Martlesham Heath, England) fired a pair of even-par, 71's, in his first two rounds. He is currently tied for 14^th place with an even-par, 71-71-142.

Junior Gen Nagai (Mandaue Cebu City, Philippines) and sophomore Alex Chalk (Castle Douglas, Scotland) are currently tied for 38^th place at 6-over-par for the tournament. Nagai was consistent with a pair of 3-over-par, 74's, while Chalk improved four strokes from round one, shooting a 76-72-148.

Only one stroke behind Nagai and Chalk, freshman Andres Acevedo (San Antonio, Texas) is at 7-over-par for the tournament with a consistent 74-75-149.

Senior Linus Yip (Sydney, Australia) also made the trip and is competing as an individual. He is 8-over-par with a 76-74-150 entering Sunday's final round.

The Field:
In addition to Seton Hall and host Penn State, the field includes 10 other schools: Binghamton, Cleveland State, Columbia, Eastern Michigan, Dayton, Georgetown, Loyola, Oakland, Rutgers and West Virginia.

Tee Times:
Seton Hall will be paired with golfers from Georgetown and Dayton in Saturday's first round. Andres Acevedo will get the Pirates started with a tee time of 9:00 a.m. from the first tee. The rest of the team will follow with nine minutes separating the groups.
