Hood Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall sophomore Connor Hood (Shrewsbury, Pa.) was named to the BIG EAST Baseball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
Hood led the Pirates in batting last week with an even .500 batting average. The Pirate first baseman was particularly dominant in Seton Hall's doubleheader sweep of Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday. Hood went 2-for-3 with a double and a team-best two RBIs in Seton Hall's 4-2 victory in game one. In game two, he went 2-for-2 with a double high off the left field wall, a sacrifice fly and three RBIs in the Pirates' 5-4 win.
St. John's Robert Boselli III was named BIG EAST Player of the Week, while Georgetown's Jimmy Swad earned Pitcher of the Week recognition. Those joining Hood on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll include: Butler's Tyler Houston, Creighton's Thomas Luevano, St. John's Kevin Magee and Xavier's Matt Warkentin.
Hood and the rest of the Pirates will return to action on Wednesday, April 11 when they make the short trip to Princeton. First pitch scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
