Molina Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall senior Al Molina (Freehold, N.J.) was named to the BIG EAST Baseball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
Molina was instrumental in the Pirates sweeping Georgetown last weekend in Baltimore. The shortstop reached base three times in game one of Saturday's doubleheader, going 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. In game two, he erupted for three hits, including his third home run of the season, and drove in a pair of runs. For the doubleheader, Molina led the Pirates with five hits and a .625 batting average.
Xavier's Chris Givin was named BIG EAST Player of the Week, while Butler's Ryan Pepiot earned Pitcher of the Week recognition. Those joining Molina on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll include: Creighton's Evan Spry, Georgetown's Jake Bernstein, St. John's Gavin Hollowell and Villanova's David Gulati.
Molina and the rest of the Pirates will return to action on Thursday, May 24 when they begin play at the 2018 BIG EAST Championship against Butler in Mason, Ohio. First pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
