Ramiz Named to All-ECAC Second Team

DANBURY, CONN. – Seton Hall senior Ryan Ramiz (Freehold, N.J.) was named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division I Second Team on Thursday.
One of only four unanimous selections to the All-BIG EAST First Team, Ramiz capped his stellar four-year career ranked among Seton Hall's top-10 in games played, at bats, triples and walks.
Ramiz was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team in 2017, but took his game to a new level in 2018. Named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on April 16, he orchestrated one of the great "turnarounds" to a season in recent history. Ramiz was just 4-for-33 to start the season (.121), but batted .362 in the 41 games afterward. In conference-only games, he led the BIG EAST with a .429 batting average and a .528 on-base percentage. Ramiz also ranked among the conference's top-10 in hits, doubles, walks and RBIs.
On May 27 in Seton Hall's first game against St. John's on Championship Sunday of the BIG EAST Tournament, Ramiz went 3-for-6 with a double, a triple, a walk, a run scored and a season-high four RBIs. His effort, in part, sent the Pirates to the BIG EAST Championship Game.
