DENTON, Texas – The Seton Hall softball team (5-4) closed a successful run at the Mean Green Classic with a 7-2 win over Arkansas Pine Bluff on Sunday morning at North Texas' Lovelace Stadium. With the win, the Pirates concluded a 3-1 run at the tournament.

The Hall put up a six-run second inning to take a commanding early lead that it held throughout the contest. Eight different Pirates notched a hit in the balanced offensive effort and five players had at least one RBI.

How it Happened

After trading zeroes in the opening frame, the Pirates erupted for six runs in the bottom of the second
Emily Supercynski (Aurora, Colo.) got the proceedings going with an RBI single, and Hailey Arteaga (Upland, Calif.) capped the scoring with an RBI double to give SHU a 6-0 lead
Ragen Reddick (Middlesex, N.J.) added another run with an RBI double in the top of the third
The Pirates held the Golden Lions off the board until the top of the fourth, when UAPB scratched across a pair of unearned runs
That would be all the scoring for the rest of the day, as Reganne Camp (Bloomington, Ill.) and Mo Sobel (Newbury Parks, Calif.) combined to not allow an earned run from the circle

The Pirates finished with a 9-3 edge in hits
Baylee Allender (Rosharon, Texas) was the lone Pirate to notch a multi-hit effort, going 2-for-2 with a run scored
Janae Barracato (Hempstead, N.Y.) knocked in a pair of runs
Camp tossed three perfect innings, striking out six and retiring all nine she faced for the win
Arteaga, Destini Peck (Riverside, Calif.), Kiana Tate (Las Vegas, Nev.) and Reddick all notched doubles for the Pirates
