
Noah Thompson Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall junior Noah Thompson (Frisco, Texas) was named to the BIG EAST Baseball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
Thompson turned in his career-best performance in his first start of the 2019 season on Saturday. The 6-foot-4 right-hander allowed only two runs on four hits over a career-high six innings in Seton Hall's loss to Ohio State in Port Charlotte, Fla. Thompson walked two and struck out a career-high 10 batters in only 88 pitches.
This is his first-ever weekly honor by the BIG EAST.
Butler's Kyle Smith was named BIG EAST Player of the Week, while Creighton's Mitch Ragan earned Pitcher of the Week recognition. Those joining Thompson on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll include: Creighton's Jack Strunc, Georgetown's Nick Morreale, Villanova's Chris Rotondo and Xavier's Jake Shepski.
Thompson and the rest of the Pirates will return to action on Friday, February 22 when they open a three-game series against Dayton in Cary, N.C. First pitch scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
