Festa Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall freshman David Festa (Verona, N.J.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Tuesday.
Festa shined in his first career start, which was also his 19th birthday, against Florida International on Friday. The right-hander tossed a career-high five innings, allowing just one hit and struck out a career-high eight batters in a no decision. The Pirates lost the contest, 1-0, in a pitchers' duel.
Xavier's Ryan Altenberger was named BIG EAST Player of the Week, while Butler's Ryan Pepiot earned Pitcher of the Week honors. Those joining Festa on the Honor Roll include: Butler's Harrison Freed, Georgetown's Jack Cushing, St. John's Gavin Hollowell and Villanova's Jimmy Kingsbury.
