Santorelli led the Pirates' offense, going 2-for-4 with a triple, a stolen base and a team-best three RBIs.
Junior Tyler Shedler-McAvoy (Allendale, N.J.) continued to be a pest on the base paths, scoring two runs and stealing three bases. He also drove in a pair of runs. Jerry Huntzinger (Staten Island, N.Y.) reached base four times, going 1-for-2 with a hit-by-pitch, two walks, a stolen base and two runs scored.
On the mound, five pitchers combined to allow only one run on four hits. Seton Hall starter Brennan O'Neill (Morristown, N.J.) allowed only one run in four innings in a no decision. The bullpen combined to allow only one hit over the final five innings.
What Happened:
Trailing 1-0, Seton Hall's offense burst out in the fifth inning, scoring five runs with two outs. With the bases loaded, Matt Toke (Three Bridges, N.J.) drew a walk to tie the game at one. Shedler-McAvoy followed with a two-RBI single to center field to put The Hall on top. Santorelli then drilled a triple to right field to drive in two more runs and give the Pirates a 5-1 advantage.
In the seventh inning, Shedler-McAvoy scored from second base on an RBI single by Santorelli to extend The Hall's lead to 6-1.
Finally, the Pirates added two more insurance runs in the eighth on a Christian Del Castillo (Miami, Fla.) RBI double and a Thomas Holdorf (Freehold, N.J.) sacrifice fly.
