
Casey Dana Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall sophomore Casey Dana (Montgomery, N.Y.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
Dana led Seton Hall in hitting last week with a .438 batting average, recording multiple hits in three of four contests. On Tuesday, the third baseman reached base four times, going 2-for-3 with two walks, a stolen base and a home run in a victory at Fairleigh Dickinson. In game two of a doubleheader on Saturday at Villanova, Dana belted his team-leading fifth home run of the season, and went 2-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base and two runs scored. In the series finale on Sunday, he reached base four more times, going 3-for-5 with a hit-by-pitch, an RBI and two runs scored. His leadoff double off the fence in the top of the 10th inning set the table for the Pirates to scoring the winning run.
Xavier's Allbry Major was named BIG EAST Player of the Week, while St. John's Joe Kelly earned Pitcher of the Week honors. Those joining Dana on the Honor Roll include: Butler's Harrison Freed, Creighton's Mitch Ragan, Villanova's Nick LoRusso and Xavier's Conor Grammes.
Seton Hall will return to action on Tuesday when it makes the short trip to Lawrenceville, N.J. for a game at Rider. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
