Tibbling Tallies Twice, Pirates Fall to No. 1 Georgetown

South Orange, N.J. – The Pirates came up short against No. 1 Georgetown on Wednesday night, 4-2, at Owen T. Carroll Field. CJ Tibbling (Jarna, Sweden) tallied twice for the Pirates in the setback. The Pirates now sit at 4-4-2 on the season.

How it Happened
Seton Hall keeper Andreas Nota (Rome, Italy) was called upon early, making some diving saves in the process of keeping the Hoyas off the scoreboard.

In the 18^th minute, the Hoyas were finally able to break through when Zach Riviere ripped a point blank shot that Nota was able to initially stop, however Riviere was able to coral the rebound and put home the match's opening tally. A little under four minute later, the Hoyas tallied again this time off the foot of Joe DaLuz with an assist going to Sean Zawadzki. The Hoyas were able to pick up two more goals before the half, one from Will Sands and the other from Daniel Wu to go into break with the lead.

Late in the second half, Tibbling took a pass from Andrea Borg (Sliema, Malta) into the Hoya box where Tibling rifled off a shot past the Hoya keeper and into the back of the net to get the Pirates on the board. Less than two minutes later, Tibbling tallied again. Borg sent a pass on the near side of the box to the foot of Raz Amir (Israel) who crossed a ball that found the head of Tibbling to cut the Hoya lead in half.

News & Notes

The two goals from Tibbling mark the second multi-goal game for a Pirate this season with Johannes Pex scoring twice against Fordham on Sept. 28.
This was the first time No. 1 Georgetown conceded multiple goals this season. The Hoyas had only given up three goals in eight games before surrendering two to the Pirates.
The Pirates now have an even 30 assists on 24 goals this season.
