Pirates Round Out Non-Conference, Host Fairleigh Dickinson

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Seton Hall men's soccer team will round out its non-conference schedule when they play host to the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights on Wednesday at Owen T. Carroll Field. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Pirates are coming off their first win of the season on Saturday, a 1-0 win over La Salle at home. Freshman Jake Barrett (Huddersfield, England) scored the lone goal for the Pirates early in the first half. A James Boote (Southampton, England) free kick was controlled in the box by Maurice Williams (West Orange, N.J.). Williams sent the ball over to Barrett who found the back of the net. The Pirates played the majority of the second half down a man due to a red card but managed to keep the shutout and the win intact for Andreas Nota (Rome, Italy) in his first start of the season.

SCOUTING – FDU (0-1)

The Knights lost their lone match of the season thus far, a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Fordham on Feb. 13.
Fairleigh Dickinson is coming off a Northeast Conference Tournament Title and trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Knights are picked second in the NEC Preseason Poll.
These two programs last met in 2010, a 3-0 Pirate victory. Overall, Seton Hall leads the all-time series 14-13-4.

QUICK KICKS

After his performance against La Salle, Jake Barret was named BIG EAST Freshman of the week on Monday.
Goalkeeper Andreas Nota picked up his sixth career shutout in the victory over La Salle.
Johannes Pex (Stephansposching, Germany) scored two goals in his first match as a Pirate in the draw against NJIT last Wednesday.
The Pirates have registered 17 of their 26 shots on net this season for a .654 percentage.
