Register Today for the Seton Hall Baseball Virtual First Pitch Event

SOUTH ORANGE – The Seton Hall baseball program and Pirate Blue have announced that the 2021 Virtual First Pitch Event will go live on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021 at 7 p.m.

Online registration for this special event is now open. A link to the event – which will kick off the Seton Hall baseball season for the 10th consecutive year – will be sent via email next week. Registration is free but the option to make a contribution to the baseball program is available on the registration page and would be much appreciated.

The evening's program will feature a season preview from head coach Rob Sheppard and a celebration of two squads that are commemorating milestone anniversaries this season – the 2001 and 2011 BIG EAST Championship teams. The 2001 and 2011 teams won the second and third BIG EAST titles in program history, respectively.

Seton Hall returns four seniors – including 2020 Preseason All-BIG EAST selections Matt Toke and Tyler Shedler-McAvoy – that took advantage of the NCAA's extra year of eligibility for spring sport athletes. On the mound, The Hall brings back Friday starter Ryan McLinskey, senior arms Sean Miller and Tyler Burnham, and junior hurlers David Festa and Nick Payero. Last year's squad was picked to finish second in the BIG EAST and picked up three first-place votes before the 2020 season's abrupt end.
