Senior hit .500 scored three times and drove in three in the doubleheader against UAlbany
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. -- Senior Jerry Huntzinger (Staten Island, N.Y.) has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after hitting .500 (5-for-10) with three RBI and three runs scored for the Seton Hall baseball team against UAlbany on Saturday.
He hit a double, a triple and went 3-for-3 on the base paths. Huntzinger, who started in right field in game one and catcher in game two, didn't commit an error in 18 innings on defense. The Staten Island, N.Y. native led the Pirates to victory in game two where he went 4-for-6 at the plate.
The Pirates will be back in action on Friday, March 12, at 3 p.m. against NJIT. Seton Hall Athletics will allow two parents or guardians of each Seton Hall student-athlete to attend games at Mike Sheppard Sr. Stadium at Owen T. Carroll Field. Unfortunately, due to capacity limits, this policy does not apply towards parents or guardians of members of the opposing team or members of the general public.
