
Pirates Look to Stay Unbeaten at Home, Host Villanova Wednesday

South Orange, N.J. – The Seton Hall men's soccer team returns home to take on BIG EAST foe Villanova on Wednesday at Owen T. Carroll Field. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
The Pirates drew at UConn, 0-0 on Saturday. BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll member Andreas Nota (Rome, Italy) picked up his third shutout on the season and the fourth overall for the Pirates. Nota played all 110 minutes for the Pirates between the pipes picking up three saves along the way for the clean sheet.
Seton Hall sits at 3-1-2 on the season and 1-1-1 in the BIG EAST. The Pirates are currently in third place with four points in the East Division which is led by Providence and Georgetown with seven points apiece.

- The Wildcats opened up BIG EAST play with losses against the top two teams in the East, Georgetown and Providence before blanking St. John's on the road, 1-0, for their first victory of the year.
- Villanova will play game two of a four game road streak after opening up with four consecutive home games, one of which was a loss against La Salle, a team the Pirates defeated, 1-0
- The Wildcats lead the all-time series 20-15-1 with the last Pirate victory coming in 2017.

- The Pirates finds themselves at the #25 spot in two national polls, TopDrawerSoccer.com and CollegeSoccerNews.com. They are also receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Poll. This is the first time the Pirates have been ranked nationally since 2006.
- Seton Hall is currently undefeated at home this season with a 3-0 record.
- The Hall currently ranks second in the BIG EAST in both goals and assists. On the defensive end, the Pirates are tied with Providence atop the conference in shutouts with four blank sheets apiece.
