Huntzinger Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

The senior hit .444 with five doubles, five RBI and four runs scored
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Senior Jerry Huntzinger (Staten Island, N.Y.) has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after hitting .444 (8-for-18) with five doubles, four runs scored and five RBI for the Seton Hall baseball team in a series split at St. John's this past weekend.
Huntzinger went 2-for-2 on the base paths to add to his BIG EAST best 22 stolen bases. He also didn't commit an error in three games as a catcher and one game as a right fielder.
He registered multi-hit performances in three of the four games against the Red Storm including a 3-for-5 outing in game two of the doubleheader on Saturday. Huntzinger also racked up two doubles that drove in a total of three runs in game one of the doubleheader. In the series finale, the Staten Island, N.Y., native reached base in three of his five plate appearances.
Huntzinger and the Pirates will be back in action this weekend at Mike Sheppard, Sr. Stadium at Owen T. Carroll Field when they welcome Georgetown for a four-game set.
