Gale Named To Preseason All-BIG EAST Team

South Orange, N.J. — Junior outfielder Will Gale (Scotch Plains, N.J.) has been named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team and the Seton Hall baseball team was picked to finish fifth in the preseason poll, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Despite a season that saw him battle nagging injuries, Gale was named to the preseason team for the second time in his career after hitting .336 as a sophomore and stealing 20 bases, the second most in the BIG EAST. The preseason team and poll was voted on by the league's head coaches.

Injuries kept Gale sidelined for most of the BIG EAST portion of the schedule. But in the seven league games he played in, Gale hit .462 (12-of-26) with an on-base percentage of .533. He ranked second on the team with 15 multi-hit games and his 10-game hitting streak was The Hall's longest of the season.

Gale now his three conference honors in his four seasons as a Pirate. He was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team in 2021 and was tabbed to the All-BIG EAST Preseason Team last year.
