Fans and supporters can take part in a live, virtual preview with Coach Sheppard and hear from Seton Hall great Shane McCarthy
South Orange, N.J. — With the season almost one week away, head coach Rob Sheppard and the Seton Hall baseball program will host a live, virtual First Pitch event on Tuesday, Feb. 15, at 7:30 p.m.
Sheppard will preview the upcoming season as the Pirates prepare for their opening weekend series at North Carolina. Seton Hall great Shane McCarthy will be a featured guest speaker.
Those that would like to access the virtual First Pitch can reach out to Pirate Blue's Niko Morisi at niko.morisi@shu.edu. Those attending are encouraged to submit questions to Morisi as well. Contributions to support the baseball program are not required but is always appreciated.
McCarthy pitched four seasons for The Hall and was a two-time All-BIG EAST selection, a freshman All-American and an 18th round draft pick by Cleveland in 2018 MLB Draft. He's ranked in the top 10 in program history in games started (50), innings pitched (301.1), strikeouts (211) and shutouts (four). He also threw the first perfect game in Seton Hall and BIG EAST history when he needed just 88 pitches to defeat LIU on April 15, 2016.
