- Back-to-back singles from Alexander and Hill followed by a Baylee Allender (Rosharon, Texas) walk loaded the bases for The Hall with two away in the inning. A Blevins walk and a wildpitch to score Hill would give the Pirates two more runs in the inning and a 4-0 lead after one.
- Creighton would respond with a run of their own in the top of the second on a two-out RBI single to make it a 4-1 ballgame.
- The Bluejays would again strike for one more in the top-half of the fourth as a two-out, RBI-double would plate the visitors' second run of the game and cut the Pirates' lead in half.
- In the fifth, LAUREN CAYE would make two terrific plays in left field to keep the Bluejays' offense off the bases.
