Pirates Fall to No. 13 Texas in NCAA Opener

How it Happened
Texas struck early in the game, plating runs in each of the first three innings to take a 4-0 lead. After Seton Hall starter Shelby Smith (Friendswood, Texas) retired the side in order in the fourth, the Pirates looked to get the bats going in the bottom of the fourth. Lela Allen (Phoenix, Ariz.) opened the frame with a leadoff walk, however a fielder's choice and a double play erased the threat.
In the bottom of the fifth, the Longhorns would put the game away with a four-run frame to take the game via run rule.
