Pirates Drop Rubber Game Against North Florida

Jacksonville, Fla. -- Graduate student Kyle Lyons (West Chester, Pa.) went 1-for-3 with a single and sophomore Michael Gillen (Rochelle Park, N.J.) struck out a pair in 0.2 innings pitched as the Pirates dropped the series finale to North Florida, 11-0.
Redshirt senior Jonathan Luders (Lynnfield, Mass.) went 1-for-2 with a single and redshirt junior Cole Zak (Cleveland, Ohio) went 1-for-2 with a single.
How It Happened
Lyons led off the game with a single making it eleven out of the last 14 games Lyons has recorded a hit. North Florida got on the board fast with an RBI double and a sacrifice fly to make it 2-0.
North Florida also scored a pair in the bottom of the third inning on a fielder's choice and single before having an explosion of offense in the bottom of the fifth where they scored six runs to make it a 10-0 game.
The following inning North Florida capped off the game with a run in the bottom of the sixth on a balk and the Pirates dropped the rubber match to North Florida in seven innings.
