Soldra Selected by Los Angeles Dodgers in 2025 MLB Draft

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Seton Hall outfielder AJ Soldra has been drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 16th round of the 2025 Major League Baseball Draft, the organization announced on Monday afternoon.
Soldra, the 495th overall selection in this year's draft, becomes the 113th player in program history to be selected in the MLB Draft and the first since Drew Conover was picked by the Detroit Tigers in 2022. Soldra becomes the first Seton Hall position player to be drafted since current assistant coach Ryan Ramiz was selected by the Seattle Mariners back in 2018.
After transferring from NJIT ahead of his sophomore season, Soldra proved to be a steady bat in the Seton Hall lineup in 2025. His .330 batting average ranked second on the team along with his 72 hits, 12 doubles, 53 runs scored and 15 stolen bases. The Orange, Conn. product also led the BIG EAST with eight triples on the season. Soldra was the one Pirate to appear in all 54 games on the campaign.
