Morgantown, W.Va. – The Seton Hall women's swimming & diving team suffered a 217-63 setback to host West Virginia, and a narrow 140-134 loss to BIG EAST Conference rival Xavier at the Big 12 vs. BIG EAST tri-match this weekend.

Sophomore Sara Ouellette finished second in 200 back (2:03.32) and junior Sydney Simpson was the runner-up in the 200 breast (2:26.09). Sophomore Jilian Calocino (Maywood, N.J.) placed third in the 1000 free after touching the wall in 10:37.62.

Alexa Kolodgie (Baltimore, Md.) finished third in the 200 IM with a time of 2:11.61. Right behind her was fellow freshman Amelia Wootton (Bethel, Conn.), who touched the wall in 2:11.78.

In the 500 free, sophomore Gabby Van Tassell (Staten Island, N.Y.) placed third with a time of 5:10.59.

Up next, the Pirates head down the road to Piscataway, N.J. to take on Rutgers, Georgetown, Villanova and Pittsburgh in a quad-meet next weekend beginning on Friday, Nov. 3 at 4 p.m.
