Pirates in 10th Place after Two Rounds at Rutherford

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. – Sophomore Chris Yeom (Flushing, N.Y.) is 3-over-par through two rounds and has guided the Seton Hall men's golf team to a 10th place team standing at the 2017 Rutherford Intercollegiate entering Sunday's final round.
Yeom is currently tied for 13th place among 75 individual golfers with a 13-over-par, 73-72-145, and trails the individual leader, Ohio's Peyton White, by eight strokes with 18 holes to go.
Collectively, the Pirates shaved 14 strokes off their first round score in round two, settling with a 7-over-par, 291, to improve three places in the standings. Through two rounds, The Hall is 27-over-par with a 304-291-595. Georgetown is the team leader at 1-over-par. The Pirates have a four-stroke lead over another BIG EAST opponent, Xavier.
Freshman Alex Chalk (Castle Douglas, Scotland) is just two strokes behind Yeom at 5-over-par. He is tied for 23rd place with a 78-69-147. Chalk is the lone Pirate to record a sub-par round so far at Penn State.
Senior Lloyd Jefferson Go (Guadalupe Cebu City, Philippines) is currently 7-over-par with a 74-75-149.
Sophomore Gen Nagai (Mandaue Cebu City, Philippines) improved four strokes in round two and is currently 12-over-par with a 79-75-154.
Freshman Alex McAuley (Douglas, Isle of Man) rounds out the Pirates team scoring at 15-over-par with a 79-78-157.
Competing as an individual, Linus Yip (Sydney, Australia) had the third best day amongst the Pirates. The junior is 6-over-par with a consistent 74-74-148.

This snack area offers a variety of food and snacks for a quick bite or a relaxing meal. The Cafe's open dining area overlooks the courses and provides the perfect compliments to a round of golf.

In addition to Seton Hall and host Penn State, the field includes 11 other schools: Binghamton, Columbia, Eastern Michigan, Georgetown, Oakland, Ohio, Rutgers, Towson, Virginia Commonwealth, West Virginia and Xavier.
Tee Times:
Seton Hall will be paired with golfers from Virginia Commonwealth and Xavier for Sunday's final round. McAuley will get the Pirates started at 9:20 a.m. starting on the 10th tee.
