HAMMOND, LA. – The final game of Seton Hall's series at Southeastern Louisiana has been canceled due to poor weather in the Hammond, La. area. The game will not be made up.

The rain came with the Pirates leading 1-0 in the top of the second inning. Junior Ryan Ramiz (Freehold, N.J.) led off the game with a triple to center field. Senior Joe Poduslenko (Glen Mills, Pa.) followed with an RBI ground out to the shortstop.

Junior Shane McCarthy (Fair Haven, N.J.) got the start for the Pirates and pitched a scoreless first inning.

Next Up:
Seton Hall will return to action on Thursday, May 25 in the opening round of the 2017 BIG EAST Championship. The fourth-seeded Pirates will face top-seeded Creighton at 7:30 p.m. in the opening round in Omaha, Neb. The game will be shown on the BIG EAST Digital Network via the Fox Sports Go app.
