Dadona went 2-for-4 with a walk and two stolen bases, while Molina went 2-for-4 with a walk. Senior Ryan Ramiz (Freehold, N.J.) was the top Pirate run generator, recording a pair of RBIs.
After both teams scored a run in the first inning, the Pirates took the lead in the bottom of the third inning. Sebastiano Santorelli (Tuckahoe, N.Y.) and Molina led off the inning with back-to-back singles. After Mike Alescio (Fair Haven, N.J.) sacrificed both runners into scoring position, Ramiz grounded out to short, which scored Santorelli with the go-ahead run.
Turning Point:
After Xavier tied the game at two with a single run in the top of the fourth inning, they took control of the game in the top of the sixth. A wild pitch by Seton Hall starter Ricky DeVito (Staten Island, N.Y.) allowed the lead run to score with one out. After DeVito got the second out of the inning, Xavier's Chris Givin drove in another run with a bunt single, giving the Musketeers a 4-2 lead.
Seton Hall plated their third and final run in the bottom of the sixth inning. Freshman Casey Dana (Montgomery, N.Y.) led off the inning with a double to left field. After advancing to third on a passed ball, he scored on a ground out by Christian Del Castillo (Miami, Fla.).
