Pirates Head To No. 9 Creighton On Saturday Night

OMAHA, Neb. – The Seton Hall men's soccer team (4-2-1, 1-1-0 BIG EAST) will face its stiffest test of the 2018 campaign when it heads to Omaha for a BIG EAST match-up at No. 9 Creighton (6-1-1, 2-0-0) on Saturday night. Kick-off between the Pirates and Bluejays is set for 8 p.m. (ET) and will air on the BIG EAST Digital Network and FOX Sports mobile app.

The Hall had its midweek contest at No. 25 Fordham scheduled for Tuesday night washed out, but is riding a two-match winning streak after a BIG EAST victory over Marquette on Saturday. Creighton has also been on a tremendous run of form, winning its last five including the first two conference matches.

CJ Tibbling (Järna, Sweden) is the reigning BIG EAST Freshman of the Week for the second time this season after netting two goals vs. Marquette
Tibbling leads The Hall with four goals and nine points on the year
Also picking up weekly accolades this week was senior Nico Andersen (Odense, Denmark), the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week, who leads the Pirates with three assists and has totaled five points
Saturday's match-up pits two of the top defensive sides in the BIG EAST against each other – The Hall is fourth in league with a 0.95 GAA while CU leads the league at 0.36
Carlton McKenzie (Birmingham, England) and Tibbling rank second and third in the BIG EAST with 32 and 31 shots, respectively
In goal, Andreas Nota (Rome, Italy) has played every minute and ranks third in the BIG EAST in GAA (0.95) and fourth in save percentage (.800)

FACING CREIGHTON

The Hall is 2-3-0 in five meetings all-time with Creighton, each coming since CU joined the BIG EAST for the 2013 campaign
The Pirates took the most recent meeting with the Bluejays, knocking off then-No. 25 Creighton 2-0 at Owen T. Carroll Field last season
The Pirates are winless in two prior meetings with CU in Omaha but have played tough on the road; SHU dropped a tight 3-2 match in 2014 and held an early lead in a 2016 setback
Creighton has been nationally ranked during all five prior meetings with The Hall, with the Pirates picking up wins when CU was ranked No. 25 (2017) and No. 22 (2013)
