Miller allowed one run over four innings of relief with five strikeouts and no walks. His lone allowed run was due to a Creighton double on a ball that was lost in the sun by the Pirate outfield.
Offensively, Dana led The Hall with two hits, going 2-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base.
What Happened:
Creighton scored in both the second and third innings by using the long ball off Pirate starter David Festa (Verona, N.J.). Jason Allbery hit a solo home run in the second inning, and Will Robertson belted a two-run home run in the third to put the Bluejays up 3-0.
In the top of the fifth inning, Creighton broke the game open, striking for seven runs on five hits off Pirate relievers Hunter Waldis (Far Hills, N.J.) and Nick Payero (Monroe, N.J.). Six of the seven runs came with two outs in the inning. The big blow was a three-run home run by Robertson that capped the inning to put the Bluejays up 10-0.
