
Tait Leads Pirates on Saturday at Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. – Sophomore Gregor Tait (Martlesham Heath, England) is 3-under-par through two rounds and has guided the Seton Hall men's golf team to a seventh place standing at the Princeton Invitational entering Sunday's final round.
Tait was brilliant in the first round, using six birdies to fuel a 3-under-par, 68, in round one. He follow up that performance with an even-par score in the afternoon. Through two rounds, Tait is tied for eighth place with a 3-under-par, 68-71-139, and trails a trio of individual leaders by five strokes with 18 holes remaining.
As a team, the Pirates fired a 2-over-par, 286, in round one, and shaved a point off that score in round two. Entering Sunday's final round, The Hall is 3-over-par with a 286-285-571, and trails the team leader, Yale, by 22 strokes. Seton Hall's lone BIG EAST competition, Georgetown, is only three strokes ahead of the Pirates at even-par.
Deven Ramachandran (San Rafael, Calif.) has been a par machine, compiling 25 pars through the first two rounds. On Saturday, the freshman shot a consistent, 71-71-142, and is tied for 21st place.
Chris Yeom (Flushing, N.Y.) has been a par machine, recording 31 pars over a possible 36 holes through the first two rounds. On Saturday, he shot a 3-over-par, 73-72-145 and is currently tied for 37th.
Only one stroke behind Yeom reside classmate Gen Nagai (Mandaue Cebu City, Philippines) and sophomore Andres Acevedo (San Antonio, Texas). Nagai is 4-over-par with a 74-72-146 entering Sunday's final round. Acevedo was 4-over-par, 75, in the morning, but shaved four strokes off his score in the afternoon. Competing as an individual, freshman Peter Tyler Po (Nasipit Cebu City Philippines) is currently 11-over-par with a 78-75-153.

Dating back to 1895, Springdale Golf Club is one of the oldest in New Jersey. Designed by Gerard Lambert and revised by William Flynn in 1926, the walkable course requires precision shot-making and has superior conditions and playability. The property, which was originally private farmland, was purchased by the Class of 1886 and gifted to Princeton University with the expectation of establishing one of the first courses in the region. The private club has a close relationship with the University, and counts many university professors, administrators and students among its members. With a fine and experienced PGA staff, the club hosts numerous tournaments, collegiate matches, clinics and golf outings every year.
The Field:
In addition to Seton Hall and host Princeton, the field includes 11 other schools: Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Georgetown, Harvard, Loyola (Md.), Penn, Rider, Saint Joseph's, Temple and Yale.
Tee Times:
The field will play 36 continuous holes on Saturday and one final round on Sunday. Play begins with a tee times starting at 7:45 am on Saturday, and 8:00 a.m. on Sunday. The Hall will be paired with golfers from Princeton and Yale on Saturday.
