Bronx, N.Y. – The Seton Hall softball team fell in a midweek road matchup with Fordham, 6-0 on Wednesday. Hailey Arteaga (Upland, Calif.) and Darby Pandolfo (Massapequa, N.Y.) picked up multi-hit efforts in the setback.

How it Happened

The Rams got on the scoreboard first with a run in the home-half of the first to go up 1-0.
The Pirates would load the bases in the second but were unable to scratch a run across.
Fordham would build its lead with a run in both the third and fourth to lead things, 3-0 after four.
Seton Hall would look to cut the deficit in the sixth when they loaded the bases with no one out but Fordham would deny The Hall to keep the lead at three.
The Rams would add three in the sixth for 6-0 lead that would become final.

Notes and Numbers

The Pirates gathered seven hits in the setback.
With a double in the third, Janae Barracato (Hempstead, N.Y.) reached 43 career two baggers which ties her with Alexis Walkden for second place in program history.
After going 2-for-4 today, Arteaga now has three, two-hit games in a row dating back to last weekend's series against Butler.
Pandolfo picked up her team-leading fifth double on the season. Pandolfo now sits alone in seventh place on the all-time Seton Hall list with 36 career doubles.

What's Next
The Pirates will return home to host a BIG EAST weekend series against St. John's. The Pirates will play two games on Saturday starting at noon followed by a single game on Sunday, also at noon.
