South Orange, N.J. – The Seton Hall softball team fell to Stony Brook on Wednesday, 2-0 at home. With the setback the Pirates now fall to 6-5 at Mike Sheppard, Sr. Field.

How it Happened

The Seawolves got on the board first with an unearned run on the top-half of the fourth.
Stony Brook would double their lead with another run in the fifth, this time on a single up the middle.

Notes and Numbers

Shelby Smith (Friendswood, Texas) started the game for the Pirates going four innings without giving up an earned run.
Kelsey Carr (Ridgewood, N.Y.) came on in relief of Smith with three innings of one-run ball.
Janae Barracato (Hempstead, N.Y.) picked up her sixth double of the season. The two-bagger is the 47^th in her career, one shy of tying Katie Pierce's all-time program record.
