Omaha, Neb. – The Seton Hall softball team dropped the series finale with Creighton, 6-5 on Saturday. The Pirates rallied to tie the game in the sixth but eventually fell on teh road to Creighton.

How it Happened

The Bluejays got on the board first with three runs in the home-half of third.
The Pirates would respond with three runs of their own in the next half-inning. Baylee Allender (Rosharon, Texas) doubled home a run to make it a 3-1 ballgame.

The next batter for the Pirates, Jaden Tate (Las Vegas, Nev.) tied things at three with a two-run home run to left.

Creighton would get two more runs in the fifth to retake the lead.
Down two in the sixth, the Pirates tied things at five. First, Kiana Tate (Las Vegas, Nev.) singled home a run with the bases loaded. The next batter, Darby Pandolfo (Massapequa, N.Y.), tied the game with a sacrifice fly.
With the bases loaded and two outs, Creighton walked things off to take the final game of the series, 6-5.

Notes and Numbers

The home run for Tate was her first this season and the Pirates' third in as many games.
Creighton outhit the Pirates, 11-8.
Kelsey Carr (Ridgewood, N.Y.) pitched 4.1 innings of relief, only surrendering one earned run in the process.
Both Tate's and Allender had multi-hit efforts for the Pirates.
The RBI for Pandolfo was her team-leading 13^th of the season.

What's Next
The Pirates will have some time off before they host Stony Brook on April 14. First pitch for that game is set for 3 p.m.
