Pitching staff fans eight Eagles in the loss
Fort Myers, Fla. - Senior Brennan O'Neill (Morristown, N.J.) struck out three and allowed two earned runs in four innings of work but the offense was stymied as the Seton Hall baseball team fell to Florida Gulf Coast, 8-0, on Sunday afternoon.
Freshman Michael Callan Moss (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and redshirt sophomore Will Gale (Scotch Plains, N.J.) tallied base hits for the Pirates.
How It Happened
O'Neill retired the side in the first inning and finished the frame with a pick-off at first base. He sat down FGCU in order in the second and worked out of a jam in the third but the Eagles struck with two runs in fourth inning to take a 2-0 lead.
The Pirates put a runner on in the top of the seventh trailing 3-0 but couldn't get a rally going. FGCU tacked on insurance runs in the seventh and eighth that put the game out of reach for The Hall.

Seton Hall continues its Spring Break trip with a midweek clash against Florida Atlantic on Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Port Charlotte, Fla.
