
Pirates Set For BIG EAST Road Clash With Xavier

South Orange, N.J. - Looking to bounce back in BIG EAST play and coming off of back-to-back midweek victories, the Seton Hall baseball team heads to Cincinnati to take on Xavier for a three-game series.
First pitch for game one is set for 3 p.m. tomorrow at Hayden Field. Saturday's game is scheduled for 1 p.m. and the series finale is set for 10 a.m. on Sunday.

- Xavier sits in first place in the BIG EAST with a 7-2 mark and the Pirates are in fourth with a 5-4 record.
- The Pirates have won two BIG EAST series this season and conceded their first league series last weekend when they dropped two out of three against Butler.

- As a team, Seton Hall has already hit more home runs (22), scored more runs (245) and stolen more bases (75) than last season.

Viera Named to Brooks Wallace Award Watch List
- Junior Max Viera (Greenwood Lake, N.Y.) was named to the Brooks Wallace Award Watch List on April 18 as one of the nation's top shortstops.
- Viera is returning to his freshman All-American form this season as he leads the team with 31 RBI, 14 doubles and 51 hits while hitting .336 and stealing 19 bases.
