How It Happened (Game One)
- In the opening two innings, Kelsey Carr stifled the Friars offensive attack, retiring six of eight batters.
- By the top of the third, Naya Martinez put the Pirates up 3-0 off the back of a two-run home run and an RBI single.

- Providence immediately responded with a two-run single and two-run home run to go in front 4-3 at the end of the third.
- In the fifth inning, Taylor Hill tied the game with an RBI fielder's choice. The Pirates would retake the lead, 5-4, before the inning's end off an Erin Howard RBI single.
- In the bottom of the seventh with a 5-4 lead, the opening two batters came around to score to deal the Pirates a 6-5 loss to open the series.
- The Friars dealt the first blow in game two when an error helped them go in front 1-0 in the first inning.
- In the third inning, Kyra Kreuscher drove a home run to deep centerfield to even the game at 1-1.

- By the end of the fifth inning, a pair of singles and a triple put Providence back in front 5-1
- The Pirates clawed back another run in the sixth inning, to make it a 5-2 deficit, thanks to a Katey Brennan home run.
- The Pirates could not claw back the deficit in the seventh inning, however, and fell 5-2 in game two.

- The Pirates move to 21-16 on the season with a 7-7 BIG EAST record.
- Seton Hall are now 41-38 all-time against Providence, with the first matchup occurring in 1992.
- Martinez logged her first career home run.
- Kreuscher hit her second career home run.
- Brennan hit her sixth home run of the season, doubling her home run total from last season.
- Jessica Muniz scored for the 10th time this season.
- Howard recorded her 10th RBI of the season.
