PRINCETON, N.J. - The Seton Hall baseball team scored a season-high 14 runs on 14 hits in a 14-2 rout of Quinnipiac in a rain-delayed series opener on Friday.
The game was halted for 1:46 with the Pirates leading 2-0 in the bottom of the first inning due to thunderstorms. Mike Alescio (Fair Haven, N.J.) followed with an RBI single, which scored Weigel with the go-ahead run. With one out, Ryan Ramiz (Freehold, N.J.) delivered an RBI single, and Joe Poduslenko (Glen Mills, Pa.) tallied the third run of the inning for the Pirates with a sacrifice fly.
