BETHESDA, MD. - Juniors Mikael-Ali Mogues (New York, N.Y.) and Joe Poduslenko (Glen Mills, Pa.) hit home runs, but the Seton Hall baseball team dropped the rubber game of a its three-game series at Georgetown, 7-3, in game two of Saturday's double-header.
Georgetown's Beau Hall homered to lead off the bottom of the first, but Poduslenko answered in the top of the second inning to tie the game at one.
Turning Point:
With the score tied at one, Seton Hall starter Cullen Dana (Montgomery, N.Y.) allowed three runs on four hits in the bottom of the second inning. The Hoyas loaded the bases with no outs and then two singles sandwiched around a fielder's choice drove in one run each to give them a 4-1 advantage.
The Pirates twice cut the Hoya lead to two runs, but ultimately couldn't draw closer.
Inside the Numbers:
- Junior Joe Poduslenko (Glen Mills, Pa.) hit his second home run of the year, a solo shot in the second inning.
- Junior Mikael-Ali Mogues (New York, N.Y.) belted his fourth home run of the season with a solo shot in the sixth inning.
- Zack Weigel (Oak Park, Ill.) and Matt Fortin (Nashua, N.H.) led the Pirates with two hits apiece.
- Dana falls to 5-2 with the loss. He allowed five earned runs over 3.2 innings, while striking out three batters and walking one.
- Poduslenko drove in in a team-high two runs.
- Sophomore Chris Morris (Matawan, N.J.) pitched two hitless innings of relief.
- Seton Hall left five men on base, while Georgetown left seven.
News & Notes:
- It's the first time this season that Seton Hall has hit multiple home runs in a game.
- Seton Hall allowed a season-high three home runs.
- Mogues has three home runs in his last six games.
- Seton Hall entered the day leading the nation in steals and ranking 11th in walks, but mustered just one steal and two walks vs. Georgetown during today's double-header.
- Seton Hall falls to 80-27 all-time against the Hoyas.

Seton Hall will return to action when it welcomes BIG EAST rival Xavier to Owen T. Carroll Field for a three-game series next weekend. First pitch on Friday is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
