Pirates Host Stony Brook for Home Opener On PSN

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Following a victory in the season opener on Friday, the Seton Hall men's soccer team (1-0-0) will have a quick turnaround and host Stony Brook (0-1-0) on Sunday night at Owen T. Caroll Field. The home opener is set for 7 p.m. as the Pirates look make it two in a row to start the 2016 campaign. Fans who cannot make it out for the match can stream it for FREE on the Pirate Sports Network.
On a steamy afternoon in Jersey City on Aug. 26, Andres Arcila (Cartagena, Colombia) scored twice while Danny Bartok (Union, N.J.) potted the game-winner in the 39th minute to lead The Hall to a 3-1 victory at Saint Peter's. The victory improved Seton Hall to 2-2-1 in season openers under head coach Gerson Echeverry and marked its first win in a road match to open the season since 2004.

After Sunday's match, the Pirates will head back on the road to visit UMass Lowell on Friday, Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. The Pirates and River Hawks last met in 2014, a 2-0 victory in The Hall's home opener.
