PENSACOLA, FLA. – The Pirates' defense committed a season-high six errors as the Seton Hall baseball team fell to Southern Louisiana, 13-1, on Saturday in its second game of the 2017 Cox Diamond Invitational.

Seton Hall (3-6) kept the game close despite the Lions scoring a pair of runs in both the top of the second and fifth innings, but Southeastern Louisiana broke the game open in the top of the sixth. The Lions scored six times on just three hits, due in large part to three Pirate errors, to extend their lead to 8-0.

Junior Ryan Ramiz (Freehold, N.J.) was the lone Pirate to reach base twice. He went 1-for-3 with a stolen base, a run scored and a walk.

Inside the Numbers:

Sophomore starting pitcher Cullen Dana (Montgomery, N.Y.) took the loss, allowing three earned runs over 4.2 innings. He struck out a season-high seven batters.
Sophomore Sebastiano Santorelli (Tuckahoe, N.Y.) drove in the Pirates' lone run with a double in the ninth inning.
Freshman Matt Toke (Three Bridges, N.J.) went 1-for-2 with an infield single.
Seton Hall left three men on base, while Southeastern Louisiana left 10.

This was the first-ever meeting between Seton Hall and Southeastern Louisiana.
Other teams competing in the 2017 Cox Diamond Invitational include Troy and South Alabama.
