Pirate reliever Hunter Waldis (Far Hills, N.J.) allowed just one run over a career high 3.1 innings of relief. He didn't allow a hit, struck out three batters and walked two. Freshman Cole Patten (Manasquan, N.J.) tossed a scoreless eighth inning.
The Seton Hall offense mustered just three hits for the day, with Tyler Shedler-McAvoy's (Allendale, N.J.) triple in the first inning being the only extra-base hit.
What Happened:
The Pirates got on the scoreboard first in the top of the first inning when Shedler-McAvoy led off the game with a triple, and came in to score on a wild pitch.
Harvard however, scored the next six runs with a pair of runs off starter David Festa (Verona, N.J.) in the bottom of the second inning, and three more in the bottom of the fourth.
The Hall scratched across a second run in the top of the ninth, but it was too little too late.
