Santorelli went 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs in his first two at bats to set the offensive tone early. Dana reached base four times, going 2-for-3 with a home run and two walks, while Del Castillo hit a dinger and walked twice.
Junior Connor Hood (Shrewsbury, Pa.) was the lone Pirate with three hits.
On the mound, The Hall used five pitchers to keep the Knights' offense at bay. Both starter Brennan O'Neill (Morristown, N.J.) and Cole Patten (Manasquan, N.J.) tossed three innings and allowed a run.
What Happened:
Only two batters into the game, Dana unleashed a monster solo home run over the left field fence to put The Hall in front early, 1-0. The lead however, was short-lived, as the Knights loaded the bases against O'Neill in the bottom half of the inning, but were only able to scratch across one run to tie the game.
In the top of the second inning, the first four Pirates all reached base. After Tyler Shedler-McAvoy (Allendale, N.J.) led off with a double, and Steve Grober (Hillsborough, N.J.) walked, Santorelli delivered a two-RBI double into the left-center field gap.
Seton Hall broke the game open in the top of the third inning. With one out, Del Castillo homered to dead-center field. Matt Toke (Three Bridges, N.J.) and Grober walked, and Santorelli followed with his second double of the game to drive in the Pirates' fifth run. A wild pitch scored Grober. Freshman David Haberman (Morristown, N.J.) then laced a double of his own to score Santorelli, and Hood followed with an RBI single to drive in Haberman giving The Hall a commanding 8-1 advantage.
