In the top of the fifth inning, the Pirates took the lead. Senior Nick Dabrio (Jackson, N.J.) led off with a walk and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Connor Hood (Shrewsbury, Pa.). After Jerry Huntzinger (Staten Island, N.Y.) reached on an error, Shedler-McAvoy singled to center field to drive in two runs and give The Hall a 2-1 advantage.
After the Quakers struck for a run in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game at two, they scored three runs on three hits in the bottom of the eighth to take a 5-2 lead.
Seton Hall wasn't without its chances. The Pirates left the bases full in both the fourth and seventh innings.
