"I am so proud of the hard work that this team has put in these past few months," said head coach Sara Doell. "They have put in hours in the gym, getting stronger and more flexible. Despite the poor weather, we have found ways to fine tune and sharpen their games in preparation for the spring competitive season. They've spent hours pitching in our field house, working on their short games in the golf room, and on their swings."
The Pirates will bring the following lineup to Kiawah Island:
Karlie Zabrosky (Erie, Pa.)
Ali Kruse (Overland Park, Kan.)
Cassie Pantelas (Canton, Ohio)
Erin McClure (Tucson, Ariz.)
Megan Tenhundfeld (Loveland, Ohio)
IND. McKenzie Cutter (Waldorf, Md.)
"We will arrive on Friday afternoon and have the chance to practice on Friday and Saturday before competing on Sunday," Doell said. That time will help the team gain confidence. The team and I are excited to start our competitive season."
