Pirates Travel To St. John's For Second BIG EAST Series

South Orange, N.J. - Winners of five of its last seven heading into the weekend, the Seton Hall baseball team continues BIG EAST play at longtime league rival St. John's as the Pirates open a three-game series with the Red Storm on Friday at 3 p.m. at Jack Kaiser Stadium.

Seton Hall sits at 2-1 in BIG EAST play after taking two out of three from Georgetown at Mike Sheppard, Sr. Stadium last weekend.
Juniors Devin Hack (Somerville, N.J.) and Chris Shine (South Plainfield, N.J.) were named to the BIG EAST Baseball Weekly Honor Roll after their big series' against the Hoyas.
Hack was the offensive catalyst for the Pirates in four games last week. The centerfielder led The Hall with a .538 batting average, drove in three runs and stole a pair of bases as the Pirates went 3-1.
Hack saved his best performances for BIG EAST play, going 7-for-10 in the three-game series against Georgetown.
Shine turned in his finest start of the season in arguably the most important game of the year thus far. The right-hander scattered only two hits over five scoreless innings in the rubber game of Seton Hall's BIG EAST-opening three-game series against Georgetown.
Seton Hall ranks second in the BIG EAST and 37th nationally with 56 stolen bases.
Leading the way is Will Gale (Scotch Plainfield, N.J.) and Max Viera (Greenwood Lake, N.Y.), both are tied for the team lead and rank second in the BIG EAST with 17 stolen bases.
