HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, FL. - Junior Megan Tenhundfeld (Loveland, Ohio) shot a 2-over-par, 74, in round two, as the Seton Hall women's golf team stands in seventh place following 36 holes at the Bearcats Spring Classic.

Collectively, the Pirates shot a 27-over-par, 315, in round two and trail the team leader, Memphis, by 25 strokes with 18 holes left to play. The Hall has plenty of opportunities however, to move up as third place is only eight strokes away. Seton Hall is the lone BIG EAST school in the impressive field of 17 programs.
Senior Ali Kruse (Overland Park, Kan.) shot a 6-over-par, 78, on Saturday. For the tournament, she is tied for 26th place with a 13-over-par, 79-78-157. Designed by Gary Koch and built in 1992, Las Colinas (Spanish for "the hills") is an 18-hole championship course that offers quite a different challenge. It is an inland links design with generous, wide-open fairways, gentle rolling hills and large, undulating greens. Las Colinas was nominated as "Best New Resort Course" by Golf Digest in 1992, named "Best Places to Play - 4 stars" by Golf Digest, and has received "Top Fairways" recognition by Golf for Women. Its signature hole is "Alligator Alley", the par 5, 12th hole that spans 493 yards along a tree-lined fairway and requires absolute accuracy from tee-to-green. In all, the course plays to a par-72 and measures 6,225 yards for this event.
In addition to Seton Hall and a pair of teams from host Cincinnati, the Bearcats Spring Classic features 15 other teams including Memphis, Seminole State, Rutgers, Texas A&M, UAB, Winthrop, Northern Illinois, Jacksonville, Southern Mississippi, Central Arkansas, Florida Southern, Florida Atlantic, Bradley, Illinois State and North Dakota State.
