Seton Hall Second After Round One at Sacred Heart Invite

Four Pirates are currently in the top-10 among 92 individual golfers at LPGA International.
DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – Graduate student Margot Bechadergue (Aix-En-Provence, France) fired an even-par, 72, to lift the Seton Hall women's golf team to a second-place standing after round one of the  Sacred Heart Spring Invitational on Friday.

Bechadergue used four birdies to shoot 4-under-par on the front-nine, but was 4-over-par on the back-nine. She enters Saturday's final round in fourth place among 92 individual golfers and trails the individual leader, Sacred Heart's Maya Robilio, by three strokes.

Collectively, the Pirates shot an 8-over-par, 296, in round one, and trails the team leader, Sacred Heart, by five strokes. The Hall has a 13-stroke cushion on third-place LIU.

Junior Ludovica Busetto (Padova, Italy) had four birdies on Friday in route to a 2-over-par, 74. She's currently tied for sixth place overall.

Sarah Fouratt (Santa Maria, Calif.) and Ana Sarrias Pro (Cadiz, Spain) are currently tied for 10th place after shooting a 3-over-par, 75. Both had 13 pars and one birdie in round one.

Only one stroke behind Fouratt and Sarrias Pro is Ginevra Zavagli (Rome, Italy). The sophomore started her day even-par through 11 holes and finished at 4-over-par with a 76. She's tied for 14th overall.

Participating as an individual, Sasha Amelang (Houston, Texas) shot an 11-over-par, 83.
