
Pirates Release Full 2023 Volleyball Schedule

The Hall will play 29 regular season matches with 11 slated at Walsh Gym.
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Seton Hall volleyball team released its 2023 schedule on Friday. Head coach Shannon Thompson and the Pirates will prepare for 29 contests overall, including 11 home dates at Walsh Gym and 18 BIG EAST Conference games.

Seton Hall will open the season with the UCI Invitational, hosted by the University of California – Irvine, Aug. 25 and 26. The Pirates will begin the event against New Mexico on Friday at 1:00 p.m. ET followed by San Francisco at 6:00 p.m. ET. They'll complete the season-opening event with a match against host UC Irvine on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The Pirates will host the Seton Hall Classic, Aug. 31-Sept. 2, in Walsh Gym. The Hall will host local rival NJIT on Thursday. On Saturday, it'll face George Mason, before taking on Saint Peter's on Saturday. All three contests will begin at 5:00 p.m.

The weekend of Sept. 8-9, The Hall will play at the Dartmouth Invitational in Hanover, N.H. The Pirates will face host Dartmouth on Friday at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday, The Hall will take on Hofstra at 12:30 p.m. and Stonehill College at 4:30 p.m.

The Hall will close out its early-season tournament schedule with the Penn State Invitational, Sept. 16-17. The Pirates will face host Penn State on Saturday, before taking on UMBC on Sunday. Both contests are 1:00 p.m. starts.

Seton Hall will begin BIG EAST Conference at home with Providence visiting Walsh Gym on Friday, Sept. 22 at 6:00 p.m. and Connecticut the following day at 5:00 p.m. Additional BIG EAST home dates and opponents are Marquette (Oct. 13), DePaul (Oct. 14), Butler (Oct. 27), Xavier (Oct. 28), St. John's (Nov. 8) and Creighton (Nov. 10).
