Dula, Miller Help Women's Soccer Tie Miami, 1-1

Sophomore goalkeeper Leah Miller (Harrison, OH) posted a career-high 14 saves in the match to preserve the tie, as Miami outshot the Pirates, 28-15. Miller made a number of critical saves, including four in overtime.
Vonda Matthews put the Hurricanes on the board early, at 6:57, when she took a pass from Lisa Gomez and fired from the top of the box on the right side.
Dula's goal was set up by passes from Kei Kurimoto (Westmont, NJ) and Brigid Sullivan (Philadephia, PA), as she scored from the right corner of the box at 45:30. It was her fourth goal of the year while it marked Kurimoto's first career point.
Junior defender Jen Langlois (Charlton, MA) also made a key defensive save with seven minutes to go in regulation, on a shot by Miami's Deidre Bass.
The match was a cross-divisional contest and does not count towards the BIG EAST standings. It was also the first-ever meeting between the teams.
Seton Hall travels to St. John's on Friday, October 20, for a 3 p.m. match.
