Dittel, Dumaresq Earn All-Big East Honors

SOUTH BEND, IN (November 2, 2000) - Seton Hall's Frauke Dittel (Hannover, Germany) was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team and Jocelyn Dumaresq (Harrisburg, PA) was selected to the BIG EAST All-Rookie Team in women's soccer as announced at the conference's pre-tournament banquet.

Dittel, a junior midfielder, earns All-Conference second team honors for the second time. The junior was Seton Hall's second leading scorer this season with 10 points, recording four goals and two assists. She scored the game-winning goals in victories over Virginia Tech and Villanova, while playing in all 19 matches.

Dumaresq, a freshman defender, was tied as the team's third leading scorer with eight points - three goals and two assists - on the season. Dumaresq posted the game-winning goals in two consecutive matches, victories over Pittsburgh and West Virginia, scoring both those goals on penalty kicks. The freshman, who started all 19 matches, led the team going 3-for-3 in penalty kick attempts this season.

Seton Hall finished its year with an 8-10-1 record, while qualifying for the BIG EAST Tournament for the fourth consecutive year.
