JERSEY CITY, N.J.The Seton Hall women’s soccer team defeated St. Peter’s, 5-0 on Sunday afternoon. The Pirates scored five goals in the second half for the victory. Seton Hall improves to 4-4-0 overall with the win. Freshman Kirah Hiltz (East Greenville, Pa.) scored two goals for the Pirates while senior Megan Fenton (Piscataway, N.J.) added a goal and an assist.

The first half the teams were scoreless. Seton Hall’s Hiltz scored the game winner off an assist from Fenton in the 49th minute for a 1-0 lead. Fenton added the second goal of the game in the 54th minute off an assist from fellow senior Katie Pfister (Toms River, N.J.). Hiltz added the third goal of the game four minutes later. Junior Alli Donofrio (Wayne, N.J.) took a pass from senior Aubrey Ellzey (San Jose, Calif.) for a 4-0 lead in the 78th minute. With less than a minute remaining in the game, senior Katie Herr (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) scored the final goal of the game in the 89th minute off an assist from Kaitlyn Rogers (Parker, Colo.).
Junior goalkeeper Amanda Becker (Aston, Pa.) recorded two saves.
Seton Hall will next travel to Villanova at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22.
