
Women's Soccer Falls To Fordham 1-0

SOUTH ORANGE N.J. The women’s soccer team was defeated by the Fordham Rams 1-0 Sunday afternoon in the Bronx.
Fordham’s Erica Frizzle tallied her first goal of the season in the 21st minute for the only goal of the game. Lauren Bustos ran with the ball up the field before crossing a pass to Frizzle who beat Pirates goaltender Amanda Becker (Aston, Pa). It was only the second goal Becker has allowed this season.
Becker ended the game making two saves while facing six shots. Rams’ goaltender Jen Byer made all three saves she faced on goal. Seton Hall took six total shots.
Despite the teams tying in total shots, Seton Hall had the only corner kick in the game, while Fordham led the way in fouls committed 14-6. Each team was caught offsides once.
Maddy Kill (Marietta, Ga) had three shots to lead the Pirates offense.
Seton Hall (3-2-1) will travel to Piscataway, N.J. on Friday, September 21 to face their BIG EAST rival Rutgers. Kick-off is set for 5:00 pm.
